The Vernon Golf & Country Club is supplied with water from the community water supply and on-site wells.
The Club assessed several options to improve its irrigation system, including drilling new wells and adding a lake feature. Associated were retained to help the Club gain a better understanding of the environmental regulations that may affect the proposed improvements.
Associated presented to the Club board and managers on the Riparian Areas Regulation, the Reviewable Projects Regulation, and the Water Sustainability Regulation (part of the Water Sustainability Act), focusing on the relevance of the legislation to the proposed improvements and how to move forward. The Vernon Golf & Country Club has been able to make decisions related to improving their irrigation system, and prepare for licensing of their wells.
