The Sutherland Avenue pedestrian bridge provides a bike and pedestrian crossing over Mill Creek.
The pedestrian bridge provides a safe crossing, as the existing bridge is too narrow for both car and foot traffic. Associated Engineering was contracted to build a new bridge for pedestrian and bicycle use next to the current crossing. The bridge needed to include erosion protection and protect from a 1:200 year flood discharge. Environmental monitoring also needed to be included.
