Over the past decade, the City of St. Albert has developed Riel Park, a previously closed landfill, as a regional recreation amenity.
Working with the City, Associated Engineering developed a phased plan that provided the City with amenities at the end of each phase.
The park features a multipurpose artificial field, rugby and soccer facilities, an upgraded RV campground, banquet facility, rodeo grounds, BMX track and building, and an Amenities Building. A trail circles the park, connecting to a boat dock. Riel Recreation Park attracts athletes, fans, and residents from across the Capital Region.
