Associated Engineering developed a sidewalk asset management program for the City of Medicine Hat that allows the City to proactively identify and respond to sidewalk deterioration and reduce public liability due to accidents arising from sidewalk tripping hazards.
Applying Associated Engineering’s web-based asset management system, the City’s new asset management program includes a comprehensive sidewalk inventory and transparent risk mitigation strategy, which helps the City to manage their assets, risks, and respond to public needs. The team developed, hosts, and maintains a web-based geographic information system for the collected data, making information easily available and editable by City staff.
