The client undertook a large blasting and hauling operation as part of the infrastructure improvements supporting the Slater River Project.
NOR•EX Engineering provided safety services, ice engineering, and a road management plan for an ice crossing over the Mackenzie River, south of Norman Wells, Northwest Territories.
The client transported approximately 65-70 loads per day across the Mackenzie River, for close to 60 days, for an overall haul total of 130,000 tonnes. The program recorded zero ice related incidents during the season. The services provided improved efficiencies and cost savings for the client’s hauling program within a strong safety environment.
