The Town of Battleford’s Parks and Recreation Services Branch retained Associated Engineering to design and construct a new Park Service Centre to replace the ageing existing facility at the Eiling Kramer Campground.
This 115 m2 facility serves as the main washroom and shower facility for the campground, and includes barrier free access.
The new facility was designed to meet Provincial Itinerant Use Accommodation Standards, offering increased capacity to meet the Campgrounds needs. A long list of desirable building amenities had to be balanced by budget constraints and therefore careful consideration was given to optimizing the design of the facility to satisfy the immediate needs and provide for expandability in the future.

Project Highlights
115M2
facility
The design of the facility incorporates provisions for use as a seasonal structure with capability of running in extended shoulder seasons. The foundation and plumbing were designed to withstand freeze thaw conditions. Interior finishes were chosen to provide low maintenance, durability and ease of cleaning. The domestic hot water re-circulation system was designed to provide instant hot water minimizing consumption. Both the ventilation system and lighting are activated with occupancy sensors to allow for reduced energy costs.
Associated Engineering provided a multi-discipline team including project management, civil engineers, structural engineers, mechanical engineers and electrical engineers to successfully complete the design and construction of this facility.
