Mosquito First Nation has experienced flooding and drainage issues in the community core as a result of a number of consecutive high precipitation years.
Aboriginal Affairs & Northern Development Canada engaged Associated Engineering to conduct a comprehensive drainage improvement study of the community. Specifically, the work included emergency flood remediation during the spring and summer of 2013 to alleviate the high water levels which impacted critical infrastructure, including the community sewage pumping station, homes, and roadways.
