The City of Edmonton Capital Construction Department retained Associated Engineering to provide engineering services for the site assessment, preliminary design, approvals, and detailed design for the rehabilitation of Kennedale Snow Storage Facility.
The existing snow storage site was the first engineered snow storage site within the city, originally constructed in 1997, servicing the downtown core. The re-design of the site, increased the total snow volume from approximately 300,000 to 600,000 m3, and incorporated a City Operation yard into the facility.
