The main asset owning business units at the City of Calgary were required to develop asset management plans (AMPs) to support the planning of investment programs and to position the City more favourably for access to provincial and federal funding.
The development of consistent AMPs across the asset owning Business Units (BUs) will also support the cross-functional opportunities anticipated as part of the City’s Infrastructure Calgary initiative.
The Corporate Asset Management (CAM) team enlisted Associated Engineering to support each of the 10 BUs in the development of their asset management plans and implement the previously developed Infrastructure Risk Management Framework (IIRMF) and Levels of Services Framework (LOSF). The project includes 3 phases:
- Phase 1:Developing Business Unit Asset Management Work Plans
- Phase 2:Advisory support for the creation of AMPs and implementing the Risk and of Level of Services Frameworks in 10 BUs
- Phase 3: Checking the status of Risk and of Level of Services Frameworks and implementation across the Corporation (out of scope)
