Calgary Green Line LRT

In mid-2014, a consultant team which included Associated Engineering who provided stormwater and utility designs, was awarded the contract to further the design from functional planning stage to the end of preliminary design.

The route was initially a Bus Rapid Transit with the intent that the route will be converted to a low-floor Light Rail Transit in the future when ridership has been established. The line runs from downtown Calgary to Seton in the southeast, a distance of 26 kilometres.

Associated Engineering provided coordination for major utility conflict identification and undertook preliminary stormwater designs for the full length of the corridor, including through the historic neighbourhoods of Inglewood, Ramsay, and Ogden and newer city subdivisions.  Several route corridors were assessed as the overall project developed.
