Associated Engineering was engaged in 2007 to provide planning, engineering, landscape architecture, project management and construction administration services for a 120 acre community development.
The City of Lethbridge initial plan in 2008 has become a major undertaking with 6 phases of residential development housing over 350 homes and two community parks. The BlackWolf community, at ultimate build out, will house over 600 residential homes and facilitate three community parks including a central intersection highlighting the community theme.
BlackWolf is a pedestrian oriented subdivision. This development uses a system of interconnected open space which contains storm ponds, parks, and pathways designed to enable pedestrians and cyclists to traverse the entire community with minimal interaction with vehicular traffic.

The BlackWolf community is unique in comparison to other community’s in Lethbridge; as the Developer was also the sole House Builder. This posed additional challenges for Associated Engineering. We were required to provide adaptive and topical designs that would house a range of residential development from high end residential walk-out lots to starter product housing, and higher density residential.
