Kienna has over six years of experience in the design and construction inspection of various projects throughout the Yukon. Her experience includes artificial turf fields, parking lots, transportation projects, municipal infrastructure, and building servicing.
ON CAREER GROWTH
Associated Engineering has helped me in my career growth from starting as a fresh Engineer-in-Training to becoming a professional engineer. The company helped me gain field experience which developed my understanding, design skills, and decision-making in the profession. Through Associated, I was able to develop my competencies required to acquire my professional designation.
ON MENTORSHIP
Associated Engineering offers multiple forms of mentorship which I have been able to participate in. The company’s Mentoring One-on-One Program assisted me in defining career and development goals and introduced me to some senior members of the company. The program also helped me in developing a mentoring program for our local engineering association. The Mentoring Circles allowed me to not only explore a topic that was discussed in a group setting, but also form relationships with a group of peers from other offices that I may not have met otherwise.
ON TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE
Working in the Whitehorse office, I get to interact directly with our clients daily. I have developed positive relationships with these clients over my years of working at Associated Engineering, which has improved my understanding of their needs and wants on projects.
